The development of emotional intelligence rests mainly on 5 pillars. Firstly, the Developing Emotional Intelligence training course will enable you to grasp what it means to be self-awareness by identifying your strengths and weaknesses. Next, it's about self-control that you need to work on. This involves working on the controlled expression of emotions. The third pillar is intrinsic motivation. This is the personal driving force linked to your past, your history and your experiences. Lempathy, then, is the fourth pillar. Emotional intelligence requires the ability to identify and analyze the emotions of others. Ultimately, it's about recognizing others as fellow human beings and considering their emotions and needs. In this way, listening to the participants in a group is not a negligible point. The final pillar is managing other people's emotions. To develop emotional intelligence, it's not enough to understand and accept the emotions of others. You also need to be able to adapt to and master the emotions of others.
Emotion therefore plays a key role in decision-making and reasoning.. In this respect, American psychologist Daniel Goleman's "Emotional Intelligence: How to transform your emotions into intelligence" (1995) first drew on the contributions of neurologist Antonio Damasio, before carrying out empirical studies over 20 years. These studies reveal a strong positive correlation between employees' level of emotional intelligence and company performance. For example, the the impressive results of the study carried out in 6 countries (France, Ireland, Turkey, China, Malaysia and Bangladesh) by Afzalur Rahim, Professor of Management at the University of Kentucky in the USA, demonstrate that managers with greater emotional intelligence contributed significantly more to company performance in each country.
And yet, managing emotions doesn't come naturally. It's not an innate quality. No, it's a skilla skill to be acquired. This is why, without adequate training in emotional intelligence for managers, the performance of teams and employees will not take off significantly. This is why Inéa Conseil has positioned itself as a a privileged, high-quality partner to support you in this training, so that you can continue to build teams and a resilient, high-performance organization on a human level.
In the professional world, it is increasingly recognized that emotional intelligence plays a key role in the success of individuals and companies. By developing their emotional skills, employees are able to manage their own emotions and those of others effectively, thus fostering a harmonious and productive work environment. The human factor is essential to the success of any project. People are at the heart of business performance. In a new context, fueled by the rapid development of technologies such as AI, human capital has never been more important. A study by McKinsey Global Institute study conducted in 1,800 companies in 15 countries shows that training employees to develop their emotional intelligence delivers profitable long-term benefits for the company, particularly during periods of crisis. A manager trained in the development of emotional intelligence will be an employee capable of better self-assessment, adapting better to his teams and interlocutors, while mastering stress and pressure. Training in Developing Emotional Intelligence is therefore the first step towards improving professional relations and performance, both individually and collectively.
